Celeb Stoners
Adrianne Curry
This sexy stoner starlet has gone from America’s Next Top Model to Top CelebStoner. Adrianne Curry is brash about pot and wants the whole world to know why.
Adrianne Curry “As a semi-celeb, I am sick and fucking tired of people coming down on me for being pro-marijuana,” Adrianne tells CelebStoner. “I’m the bad role model? Why has everyone seemed to miss the countless photographs of their favorite role models and celebs toking up? As long as as someone keeps it under wraps, or sits in denial when they are caught, then it’s ok? Well, not for me. I believe pot is MUCH safer than alcohol or anything else for that matter. I can only hope our government can find a way to make as much money off making it legal as they have making it illegal! I am proud to be picked as the Top CelebStoner, even if there are countless celebs that could burn me under the table. They just dont admit to it! Thank you all!”
Adrianne was born in Joliet, IL in 1982. She had problems with hard drugs as a teenager and went to rehab. After winning the first-ever America’s Next Top Model contest, Adrianne appeared on The Surreal Life, where she met Chris Knight. They began dating and soon had their own VH1 show, My Fair Brady. (Knight played Peter Brady on The Brady Bunch as a child actor.) They were married on the show in 2006.
Adrianne won Stony Awards for My Fair Brady in 2005 and 2006, and has appeared twice on the cover of Playboy.
Amy Poehler
Saturday Night Live veteran and Upright Citizens Brigade co-founder Amy Poehler is is known for delivering pot punchlines on “Weekend Update” - plus, she co-hosted the Stony Awards and Cannabis Cup. Poehler is currently co-starring with Tina Fey in Baby Mama.
Barack Obama
Barack Obama is the first politician to be voted a Top CelebStoner. The Democratic presidential candidate earned the honor on the strength of the following resume: Obama ‘08 • In his book, Dreams from My Father (1995), Obama wrote about his high school and college drug use: “Pot had helped, and booze; maybe a little blow when you could afford it.” • In a 2007 interview, Obama stated: “When I was a kid I inhaled frequently. That was the point.” • Speaking to Northwestern University students in 2004, Obama declared: “The War on Drugs has been an utter failure. We need to rethink and decriminalize our marijuana laws.” • In a letter to a constituent in 2006, Obama wrote: “I am aware of the argument that legalizing marijuana would make the drug more ‘controlled’ or safer, and that it may curb the violence associated with the sale of an illegal substance. I also appreciate that many physicians believe that medicinal marijuana can be helpful to some patients.” • In 2007, Obama told an activist in New Hampshire: “I wound not have the Justice Department prosecuting and raiding medical marijuana users.” He has since made numerous statements in favor of medical use.
Cameron Diaz and Drew Barrymore
There’s just something about Cameron Diaz that drive stoners crazy. The star of There’s Something About Mary (she smoked a joint in the movie with Ben Stiller) used to go to the beach in San Diego and buy $2 joints.
In February 2007, while Diaz vacationed in Hawaii with Charlie’s Angels co-star Drew Barrymore, she was photographed taking a joint from Barymore and smoking it. It was the hottest pot-parazzi pic of 2007.
Mischa Barton
Mischa Barton was caught by paparazzi smoking pot, in joint form, while driving. Some will say, it could be a rolled tobacco cigarette. No one rolls their own cigarettes these days, they buy a pack at the store, so it’s safe to assume this is pot.
Even though Barton dumped Cisco Adler, who was pictured buying marijuana at a pot shop, after a NSFW picture of his disgusting balls surfaced, it looks like she didn’t dump her pot smoking habit.
This is worrisome since her sister Hania just went into rehab for an addiction to prescription pain killers.
Matthew McConaughey
In 1999, the Texas-born actor was arrested in Austin for possessing marijuana and paraphernaila, and for playing loud music with fellow Dazed and Confused alum Cole Hauser. Observed banging the bongos naked, this made for amusing tabloid headlines. The pot and bong charges were dropped, and he paid a $50 fine for the noise violation.
Recently, McConaughey confirmed, “I love playing drums naked!”
He and his Brazilian girlfriend Camila Alves are expecting a baby.
Paul McCartney
The Beatles’ bassist teamed up with John Lennon to write some of the greatest songs of all time. Paul McCartney has always been referred to as the cute Beatle, but he’s also the stoniest Beatle.
Paul McCartney
McCartney wrote “Got to Get You Into My Life” and “Let Me Roll It” about marijuana. He and his fellow Beatles encouraged people to “smoke pot” on “I Am the Walrus.”
McCartney has been arrested four times for marijuana possession, most famously in Japan in 1980 when he was nabbed with nearly a half pound of weed at Tokyo Airport and spent 10 days in jail. Hiis second wife Linda Eastman, who died of breast cancer in 1998, was arrested three times for pot.
McCartney has called for decriminalization of marijuana on many occasions. “People are smoking pot anyway,” he says. “To make them criminals is wrong.”
He recently divorced his second wife, Heather Mills, who disapproved of his marijuana use. She will receive a $48 million settlement.
McCartney turns 66 on June 18.
Lily Allen
Singer Lily Allen enjoyed all the delights of the London’s Notting Hill Carnival - including it seems a distinctly shaped home made roll-up.
The ‘Smile’ singer was photographed at London’s world famous Notting Hill Carnival in possession of a large hand-rolled cigarette.
The singer made the most of the bank holiday fun and was reportedly drinking heavily
Glassy-eyed Lily huddled among her friends as she smoked the unusually large roll-up. It was almost as if she didn’t want to be seen.
